Hesham 'Shammi' Iqbal (born 19 January 1975) is an English cricketer. Iqbal is a right-handed batsman who bowls right-arm medium pace. He was born in Farnborough, London. Iqbal represented the Kent Cricket Board in List A cricket. His debut List A match came against the Worcestershire Cricket Board in the 1999 NatWest Trophy. From 1999 to 2003, he represented the Board in 8 List A matches, the last of which came against Derbyshire in the 2003 Cheltenham & Gloucester Trophy.〔(List A Matches played by Shammi Iqbal )〕 In his 8 List A matches, he scored 105 runs at a batting average of 21.00, with a high score of 33.〔(List A Batting and Fielding For Each Team by Shammi Iqbal )〕 He currently plays club cricket for Sevenoaks Vine Cricket Club in the Kent Cricket League. ==Family== His father, Asif, played Test and One Day International cricket for Pakistan. He also played first-class cricket for Hyderabad, Karachi Blues, Karachi, Karachi A, Karachi Whites, Pakistan International Airlines, Kent, Pakistan International Airlines B, Pakistan International Airlines A and National Bank of Pakistan. He also played just List A cricket for Sind.
